| Vientiane - Xiengkhouang - Luang Prabang 7 Days Day1. Arrival - Vientiane Up on arrival Watt ay international Airport meet our guide welcome to Vientiane, the city an ancient city, situated on the bend on the left bank of the Mekong as the largest city and the capital of Laos. Transfer to hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, we take a sightseeing tour of Vientiane, to visit religious museums of Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple to have been survived from the Siamese war of 1828 and its cloister contains more than 8000 Buddha statues; Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha statue or Pra Keo, but today it contains a collection of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found in around Vientiane; That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos, which was built to cover the original small stupa containing a piece of the chest bone of Buddha; Patouxay (Arch de Triumph), built quite recently in commemoration of those who died during the wars in the past and it is today as the land-mark of Vientiane. Overnight Vientiane Day2. Vientaine - Xiengkhouang After breakfast, if time permits, we will visit the Morning Market, the biggest shopping center in Vientiane. Transfer to Wattay airport for departure to Xiengkhouang in late flight. We arrive in Xiengkhouang, the province which is best-known for having been heavily bombed during Indochina War, apart from the famous historic Plain of Jars. And transfer to take a brief city tour around the town before checking in at hotel.Overnight XiengKhaung Day3. Xiengkhouang (Plain Of Jars) Breakfast, we drive to visit the Plain of Jars, the archaeological stone Jars (site1,2). We en- route visit villages of Hmong minority group, where we can learn more about their housing, living and working conditions which are completely different from others. In the afternoon, we drive to Muang Khoune, the old capital of Xiengkhouang, wich was heavily damaged during the war, but there are still some former French settlement and hospital to be seen as well as the damaged famous temple of Wat Pia Wat Day4. Xiengkhouang - Luang Prabang Early morning, we visit Central Market of Phonsavanh to watch different Hill Tribes to barter and exchange merchandises. Then heading out the this small town to Luang Prabang, on the way, we drop off and see a site more than 200 years old Buddha images in Thampra and varied Hmong and varied hill tribe minority villages along the road. They are nice, friendly and welcome you to visit. After a photo stop, we continue driving up hill, enjoying mountain splendid natural scenery, forest and landscape. After a tea or coffee break at Sala Phoukhoun , where the T-junction of bordering meets Vientiane-Xiengkhouang-Luang Prabang. The journey will take us over mountainous region to Luang Prabang. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos . After checking into hotel, relax on your relax Day5. Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave Breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city's oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham , Wat Mai , Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then board a boat embarking upstream on the Mekong River , which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves , crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. and retur to the city and take a short drive to Ban Phanom , well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang. (B) Day6. Luang Prabang - Kuangsi Waterfall Breakfast at the hotel and visit local Phousi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local village of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay , Hmong Village, Ban Ou , Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene , Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest paths, return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkhong, a well-known village for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weavings with natural dyes. return to the city by late evening for observing the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang (B) Day7. Luang Prabang - Departure After breakfast, we depart hotel to visit the National Museum, the former Royal Palace which houses the collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue, gifts received from foreign dignitaries…etc, if time permits, the rest of the day is spent free for own experience in this charming town, till transfer to Luang Prabang airport for departure to next destination.
