In the first five months of this year, the city greeted more than 1.2 million foreign tourists with an estimated turnover of 12,000 billion VND, 42 percent of the yearly target and a 17 percent increase year on year. At present, the city tourism department is focusing on speeding up promotion and advertising activities, reprinting City Guide publications, maps and events timetablesin Korean, Russian, Chinese and French languages.
